Notes to self: December 7th

Welcome back to the unedited, unplanned spillage of my brain that I for some reason feel the need to put on the internet? Anyway, its kind of a form of therapy, free-writing. not being constrained by the rules of grammar, if you are a grammar wizard, I apologize, imagine it as a form of poetry. If you read along the entire thing, imagine my voice as I bounce from subject to subject. It’s almost a month after my first notes to self- this round probably won’t flow as rapidly or smoothly… if that’s what you want to call the last round of this. BUT I think it’s important to try to get something out there, and for those of you who read my stuff, THANK YOU!

There’s a lot of posts I want to make pretty regularly, but the pressure of having to write an educational essay each time with quality photos, and formatting is a bit much for my like semi-motivated brain. The other part of me wants to write my true and honest self- but anyone with the internet knows that it’s not the best idea to put all of that out there. Especially when I have people reading my posts who are not fond of me.

See- that’s where the emotion needs to stop. But if writing my truth means that I’ll have haters, then I guess that’s what I have to get ready for? I really don’t like conflict, so if biting my tongue is the better route- then that’s the route I shall go.

Some ideas I’ve had for regular posts are of course

  1. mushroom of the month

    1. I WAITED ALL YEAR (not really- I mostly didn’t feel like posting or researching each month) but was super ready for December because my favorite mushroom, and arguably the most identifiable mushroom has a special meaning in December around Christmas, and I was so ready to really bust out the big guns for December and rock it out of the park!

    2. Then I started and it got kinda meh, and I didn’t feel like doing it anymore, and so here we are. Writing about what could have been.

  2. animal facts!

    1. I had an idea to post regularly the coolest facts I could find about different animals- mostly wanting to start with Lion-Tailed Macaques, MY FAVORITE. But still have not found honestly, the time to do this. Maybe someday I will have time to commit to writing neat animal facts to share with the world.

  3. Tech Tip Tuesday

    1. There’s a lot of things I think people would love to know about veterinary medicine when it comes to caring for their pets. Ideally, every Tuesday I would post about something different- flea/tick prevention, why you should get blood work, why dental health is important, etc.

    2. the problem is these are all such loaded topics that I couldn’t even begin to imagine how to summarize them into a blog post without dumping all my knowledge and all my resources into a research paper that you’re supposed to leisurely read? nahhh.

    3. so that’s another goal for myself, to really simplify and summarize veterinary medicine. #attainable!

on a more realistic note, the only thing I seem to be able to produce is my 5 random words posts. 1 was great success- the second one was great failure! The third one is going to be great though, and honestly I might just learn my way through my Radical Mycology textbook 5 words at a time. Its attainable, and interesting, and just enough to captivate my interest, but not enough to bog me down!

AND SCENE: thats going to be it for this time, but hey! atleast I posted something, right?!?!?!?!?!?! #insecure #impostersyndrome #confidenceiskey #imconfident?ithink
